Description:
Sax-playing Marie has been alive for centuries--living off her victims' blood. Her thirst is driven by a desire to be recognized by the light of day and to feel more a part of the world around her.

At dusk in a cemetery overlooking Manhattan she sees a disheveled, good-looking photographer, Ariel. Through her camera, Ariel catches sight of Marie and is captivated. The exquisitely erotic relationship that develops between the women takes place against an evocative backdrop of New York City at night.

A genuinely moving movie that is quite funny. The mood is romantic and teasing rather than erotic. I saw it over a decade ago at a film festival and have never forgotten it.
