This is fourth in the series of Simon-Kirby mysteries, and the best one to date. As in the others, Simon-Kirby is a gay vampire detective.
These books are a light-hearted read. They tend to be fun, but with two-dimensional characters, and no way for the reader to solve the mysteries themselves. The vampire nature of the main character is not integral to the plot.
