His story, 'The True Story of a Vampire (a.k.a. The Sad Story of a Vampire) is one of the first gay vampire stories ever written, and is available to read on this site.
In this marvelous and melancholy tale of homoerotic vampirism, an old woman recounts a tale of her youth. Her family had been visited by a mysterious Count Vardalek. Vardalek fell in love with the narrator's brother, Gabriel, and they were soon inseparable. Predictably, Gabriel fell ill and died as a result of this friendship.
