This is an excellent Hammer Studios film from the 1960s, basically because it is an excellent dramatization on the life of Elizabeth Bathory. Ingrid Pitt's performance is magnificent, and along with The Vampire Lovers, it's a terrific movie, well worth a Saturday afternoon. I saw it in Scotland on a cold and rainy day and it was a great way to pass the time when I couldn't be out investigating haunted castles.
