At sixteen he demolished his parents' home, spewing out psychic energy in a storm of rage. Now his mysterious power has turned to sexual desire. And what most men only think about, Rory can reach out with his mind and do...
Walking on the street alone, a woman feels hands though no one is touching her... She runs, though no one is near except for a strange, thoughtful boy watching from a doorway...Her body trembles with terror and unwanted ecstasy...she screams...
Even Rory is afraid. The power is out of control, and no woman is safe...
The book was okay, but extremely homophobic. There are two references to queer characters. One is a lecherous old man who tries to seduce a young boy and won't take 'no' for an answer, the other is a drag queen who tricks boys into having sex with him.
Both characters die horribly, basically because they're queer.
Interestingly, the author, who is openly gay, had this to say...
'In a section of the novel where I describe a list of about eight female topless sex dancers at a strip club, they are all given female-equivalent names of eight of my closest gay male friends, as an in-joke.'
