After moving into a mansion on the beach for the summer, a family begins to see terrifying ghostly manifestations. Being a psychiatrist, the head of the family looks for a scientific explanation, but finds that he must look to the supernatural to explain it. After uncovering the tragedy that occurred in the house many years ago, he must now find a way to prevent it from happing again, to his own family.

Qvamp says:

Not too much gay content and most of it is sexual abuse, rather than sex. The business partner of the main character is insinuated to have a crush on him.

I read this book when I was around 12 years old and it was one of the best novels I have yet to come across. I actually enjoyed it and it is one of my favorites, despite the consistent incest and erratic behavior.
