This collection contains the story 'Couching at the Door', a horror story where the main character seems to be based on Oscar Wilde. There is no overt homosexual content in the story, but it has minor implications.
(from Uranian Worlds) After dabbling in Satanism while in Europe, a decadent British poet, based on Oscar Wilde, finds himself haunted by a brown, furry demon. For a time he is able to rid himself of his pesky curse by giving it to a younger illustrator, a character based on Aubrey Beardsley, but it eventually returns to him in a more horrifying incarnation.
