Lost Boys

This is a light-hearted movie. Not about being gay. As for the t-shirt Sam wears (Born to shop) you only have to look at the fashions that were around at the time to realize that people wore what the hell they wanted, not what looked fashionable. What is it with gay people that they have to find something gay in everything?

I can relate to this image... so it can't be gay.

Lost Boys (R) - My all time favorite vampire movie. Sprinkled with lots of lighter moments, this movie wins all around. Features Keifer Sutherland in one of his finer roles. - RATING: A+

I loved this movie since I was a little girl. Keifer Sutherland, who is one of the main stars, is extremely scary, crazy, and exciting. This movie has what I call 'cheesy' humor, but its horror is pretty awesome too.

I definitely recommend that you watch this movie.

I love this movie. It's not really 'scary' but it's still really good; and I consider it to be probably one of the best vampire movies of all time! I never really thought of it as homo-erotica before though, it just doesn't jump out at you. But if you're looking for a good movie, this is the best!

I totally enjoyed this movie. But then again, who wouldn't enjoy these vampires? A couple of them were totally HOT, including Jason Patrick (Michael)!

I do agree that the homoerotic content was a bit low.

Good horror movie. The drama builds and there are moments that I still jump when watching it.

I haven't seen this film in ages, but it reminds me of being with my first lover... so, it's very high in sentimental value to me. I loved the movie, and say 'who cares if the homoeroticism was lacking!' The boys were fab, the special effects awesome and the music killer. It's still one of my favorite things to watch even all these years later.

'Gay people have to find something gay in everything'

Don't you just love the blind ignorance in that statement?

Well, overtly, The Lost Boys is not that high on the gay stuff. Sure, there's Sam and his posters, his clothes and so on. But the real queer theory centers around MICHAEL, not Sam. This movie was made in 1986-7, a year after AIDS was declared worldwide and everyone got scared. This movie deals with infection, from David's blood to Michael, and his subsequent descent into 'vampirism', which obviously means something else here. It's really not that hard to draw the parallels, if you're educated enough to remember the social context that this film was borne from.

I really liked this film. Actually, I admit that what I loved most about it was the clothes and culture of the 80s. While I enjoyed it, there are not many gay references in it

It's One of my all time favourite horror movies, I love kiefer in the movie he is scary, exiting,... I love the relationship between the brothers sam and Michael, they have a real bond, sam would do anything tot save michael, thew thing that makes the movie great is the action, the humor I quote Michael starts to develop vampire behaviour, he wakes up and he's up against the ceiling, trying to get down he breaks the glass of the bedroom window and winds up outside, he floats past sams window and he freaks, michael cries out for help and sam answers what are you the flying non? I love this scene, by the way look for the vampire that gets hit in the heart by an arrow and he gets nailed to the stereo, it starts to play and he gets electrofied, death by stereo sam yells.

You just have to see it to know what I mean.

Great performance by diane wiest aho plays the mother and do not forget about grandpa... great soundtrack by the way
