A good character driven show, at least towards the beginning. After that the show mostly focuses on gore and violence. To date (2018) there have been 6 queer characters: Tara, Alisha, Aaron, Eric, Denise, and Jesus
s4e6 - Tara is introduced as part of the Governor's crew. Her lesbian relationships are mentioned.
s4e7 - Tara and Alisha's relationship is confirmed and they are shown sleeping together
s4e7 - Alisha is killed while trying to destroy everyone at the prison. Tara runs off.
s5e11 - Aaron, who we met in the previous episode, becomes worried that his partner might have been killed. The two share an emotional reunion.
s5e13 - Aaron then reveals that he knows how Daryl feels, like an outsider. He goes on to explain how before and even now back at the safe-zone, he and Eric are seen as outsiders because of people's homophobia. Daryl is grateful and forms a friendship with Aaron and Eric.
s6e1 - Aaron and Eric are reunited.
Denise kisses Tara to thank her for the encouragement she needed in order to save a wounded man.
s6e12 - Tara tells Denise that she loves her. Denise says she will only tell Tara that she loves her when she returns from her run. The two of them kiss.
s6e14 - Just before she dies, Denise confesses that she could have said she loved Tara, but didn't because she was scared.
s7e6 - Tara is despondent over the news of Denise's death.
s7e14 - Jesus confirms he is gay, by saying that he has had trouble getting close to most people, including boyfriends.
s8e2 - Aaron saves his boyfriend's life helping him away from the battle after getting shot in the abdomen.
s8e3 - Distraught, Aaron apologizes to Eric for bringing him into the fight, but Eric says there is no reason to apologize. Eric sends him back into the fight and the two kiss goodbye and say they love each other.
